Right to Life is Above All Other Rights Says Leading Pro-Life Advocate
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIF. — When considering which human freedoms hold the highest priority, leading pro-life advocate Seth Gruber recently said, “If you don’t get the right to life right, you will not get any other rights right.”

To combat the United States’ abortion epidemic (more than 62 million abortions since 1973 according to Guttmacher Institute), those people serving as a voice for the unborn must do three things, Gruber said. He spoke to an audience at Calvary Chapel of the Harbour and those online for a live stream during the church’s Love Life ministry kick off event on Tuesday (8/25/21).
“We must see the reality of what is happening to God’s pre-born image bearers. Open your eyes. Wake up,” he said. “Once you see what’s happening we must judge. Yes, scripture commands us to judge with truth. We must judge what the reality of the abortion and the abortion industry means for our country, for the church in the light of God’s truth.
“See. Judge. Act. We have to abandon this all too popular comfortable Christianity. We must woo our Christian brothers and sisters into doing so as well. [I’m talking about] this compartmentalized, truncated Christianity which says ‘just praying in church’ and saying ‘I’m praying for you brother’ and then going home and watching Netflix. We have to get uncomfortable.”

Gruber most recently helped lead a West Coast coalition of churches (including Calvary Chapel of the Harbour in Huntington Beach, California) to fight for the unborn and points to the national group: Love Life. The advocacy group states that it is uniting and mobilizing the church to create a culture of love and life that will result in an end to abortion and the orphan crises.
